Common Reed Bunting.
6 czerwca, podczas spaceru po okolicznych łąkach, w pewnym momencie natknąłem się na intensywnie śpiewającego ptaka. Wykonał dookoła mnie kilka okręgów co i rusz siadając w różnych miejscach i cały czas śpiewając. Zdałem sobie sprawę, że zapewne go niepokoję i poszedłem dalej.
On 6 June, during a walk on nearby meadows, I stumbled across a bird that was singing very intensively. It flew a few circles around me, sitting in different places every few meters and singing all the time. I realised that I must be disturbing it and I walked away.
W domu, przy pomocy przewodnika po ptakach ustaliłem, że to potrzos. Kolega ornitolog potwierdził, że to samica potrzosa i zauważył, że pewnie byłem blisko młodych, które karmiła – na pierwszym zdjęciu widać pokarm, który zapewne im niosła.
At home, with help of a bird guide I identified the bird as a common reed bunting. An ornithologist friend of mine confirmed that I met a female reed bunting that was feeding young that were most probably quite near – on the first photo she holds food that she was most probably carrying for her chicks.
