Stork gymnastics.
Wczoraj miałem okazję poobserwować bociana na łące przy moim domu. Zaintrygowały mnie wygibasy, które wykonywał. W ciągu mniej więcej 30 minut, w czasie których go obserwowałem powtórzył je trzy razy. Na początku zastanawiałem się, że być może chce zacienić kawałek obszaru, nad którym stoi aby ułatwić sobie polowanie, ale słońce było przed nim więc nic by to nie dało i, jak mi się wydaje, nie był za bardzo zainteresowany polowaniem.
Yesterday I had a chance to observe a stork on a meadow nearby my house. I was intrigued by the contortions it was performing. During half an hour I was watching it it did them three times. At first I thought it was trying to cast some shadow on the grass it was standing on to help itself with hunting but the sun was in front of him so it would give it nothing and, as I remember it wasn’t very interested in hunting.
