Sarenki.

Roe Deer.

Poniżej zamieszczam kilka zdjęć saren spotkanych przeze mnie w połowie września. Mimo dość wysokich szumów spowodowanych przez słabe światło (wieczór, chmury…) myślę, że wyszły całkiem nieźle. Jak się Wam podobają?

Below you can find a few photos of roe deer I took in the middle of September. Despite high noise caused by low light (evening, clouds…) I think they are quite nice. What do you think?

Sarna przed zachodem słońca.

A Roe Before the Sunset.

Another part of my wildlife meetings from last Monday – it was a really fruitful day. This time I would like to show you a roe deer that I met before the sunset, when I was trying to find some song trushes and had nothing against my presence.

Poranek na mokradłach.

Morning on the marshes.

In the Monday morning I had another chance to visit the marsh grounds in the vacinity of Jata near Łuków. It was well after sunrise and the golden hour was ending but the light was still really nice.

At first I saw a roe deer running in the direction of the woods. It stopped for a moment, but didn’t look very disturbed with my presence. For a minute I was even wondering if it spotted me, but that was quite obvious – although I was near the forest edge I was well lit by the rising sun.

When the roe disappeared far away I started to observe my nearest surroundings. A bird was singing – it was a yellowhammer that was sitting in the nearby bush.

About 200 meters further the marshes start. I walked in their direction with caution. I heard the cranes clanging – that made me very happy as seeing them was my primary goal during this trip. The next hour was a feast for eyes and ears. Besides the cranes I saw wild ducks, that were getting in the air and flying around the marsh ground.

Sarna i…

Roe and…

Yesterday I saw something that surprised me a lot – a roe deer and a fox. Both are quite popular wild animals, but I think that it’s not that common to find them only a few meters apart. Roe deer is to big for a fox to become a pray so I wonder what caused the fox to come so close. Maybe it was pure accident, or maybe a roe lying in the grass appeared to a fox to be an easier target? Either way the roe was more intrigued with my presence than the fox.

Sarny koło Jaty.

Roe Deer Near Jata.

At the end of August near Jata preserve near Łuków I met roe deers – first a female and then a male. The animals were very cautious so I couldn’t get to close but still I managed to take some nice photos.
